1. Soldier Saves Toddler Choking On Seatbelt

A 3-year old from Ottawa was saved by a Soldier being in the right place, at the right time. Cpl. Shane Chafe stopped and cut the toddler free after his mother frantically hailed passing motorists.

2. A Toddler and Four Other Children Removed From Ohio “House of Horrors”

A toddler is in critical condition and 4 other children are with CPS after police received a call that a 1-year old was not breathing. The home was littered with feces and dead animals – mostly snakes.

3. First Transgender Medical Center For Kids Opens In St Louis Area

Transgender kids and their parents can now visit “The St. Louis Children’s Hospital Transgender Center of Excellence “ for an accepting environment. They treat patients up to 24 years of age.

4. Children’s Hospital Highlights Open Window Risks for Kids

In Summer, Rady’s Children’s Hospital treats 3 / 4 kids who have fallen from open windows and more than 4,000 are treated yearly nationwide.

Children under 5 account for a third of all fatalities. Rady’s have published a PDF Tip Sheet to help keep kids safe.

5. Mom Warns Other Moms of “Indoor Sunstroke”

During a recent heatwave, a Mom in Edmonton, Canada let her 3-year old daughter take a nap in a room that became 122 degrees. Her post warning other parents has become viral on social media.

6. Grandmother Charged With 2nd Degree Murder After 2 Pitbulls Kill Toddler

2 Pitbulls attacked and killed a 20-month-old toddler in Hart County, Georgia. The pitbulls belonged to the toddler’s grandmother. There were other pitbulls on the property and police had received nuisance calls in the past.

7. 3-year old Fatally Shoots His 2-Year Old Brother in Louiseville, Ky

A 3-year old managed to retrieve his father’s loaded gun from the top of a closet and shoot his brother in the head. There was a gun safe on the property, but the gun was not secured.

8. Baby Dies After Grandma Forgot She Was In Hot Car

Following on from recent calls to fit back seat alarms, a 4-month old infant died after being left in a hot car all day by her grandmother. The car was parked in a daycare parking lot and the grandmother thought she had already taken the infant inside.

9. Second Mom Issues Warning After Her Infant Gets Herpes

An Iowa Mom has shared photos of her one-year old son covered in sores after contracting herpes.

This latest incident comes after the recent death of a newborn who had contracted the virus.

10. Doctor Delivers Baby & Then Gives Birth Herself!

A Kentucky Obstetrician was getting ready to be induced when she heard about another soon-to-be Mom in distress. Dr Amanda Hess put on her gown and helped deliver a girl while the on-call doctor was on a break.

Panelcraft Recalls Children’s Building Sets Due To Choking Hazard

Panelcraft have recalled around 2,000 units of their Building Sets.  The panels break away, releasing magnets that can become choking hazards.

Sweet Bamboo Recall Children’s Pajamas Due To Burn Risk

Sweet Bamboo recalled 500 units of pajamas due to them failing to meet Federal flammability standards and posing a burn risk to children.

Around 1,500 units of Children’s Robes sold exclusively on Amazon.com have been recalled due to them not meeting federal flammability standards.
